WaterPlus
Deadly water and inadequate sanitation are the biggest killers of children in the world.
WaterPlus is an alliance of organizations and individuals committed to universal coverage of water and sanitation in the developing world. Our singular mission is to catalyze global action so that no child sickens or dies due to unsafe water. Systems that protect our children will protect everyone. WaterPlus founders include a number of senior Rotarians and our core support is gathered from Rotary clubs worldwide.
The WaterPlus mission is clear and unique:
- Build on the successful efforts of global disease eradication initiatives (smallpox, polio, Guinea worm) and apply those proven methodologies to achieve Universal Coverage of water and sanitation.
- Incorporate the globally distributed efforts of hundreds of organizations and millions of individuals to fund and implement discrete, do-able projects which contribute in a cohesive, efficient fashion to meeting the overall challenge.
