Biographies
Ron Cowan
Ron has been a member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon, NH since 1987. He has held a number of leadership positions in Rotary International, including District Governor in 1993-1994 and Polio-Plus Partners Coordinator 1995-1996. Ron has been a Rotary Volunteer in Ethiopia, South Africa, and Argentina. He has served his community on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, Lebanon College, and currently serves Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital on the Board of Overseers. Ron has recently retired after 27 years of owning and operating women's apparel stores.
Tom Pitman
Tom is a systems change practitioner who spent a decade with General Motors working on large-scale quality and productivity improvement processes. His educational background is in forestry and the applied behavioral sciences. After leaving GM he has invested 20 years in private practice working with leaders in the public and private sectors. He has been active in the not for profit arena for many years and periodically works as a developmental anthropologist at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the father of four wonderful daughters.
John Oldfield
John is the co-founder and President of the WaterLife Foundation, whose mission is to engage the corporate sector in sustainable drinking water and sanitation projects throughout the developing world. John's public sector career includes years of international development experience with the U.S. government and non-governmental organizations. His corporate sector experience includes launching and managing a number of e-business and web-based ventures, most recently with The Conference Board, a research firm based in New York City.
